Not sure what to wear for Senior Photos?

Not sure what to wear for your senior photos? Trust us — you are definitely not the only one. Picking outfits can feel a little stressful at first, but it doesn’t have to be! The good news? There’s no “perfect” formula. Your senior session is all about celebrating you and everything that makes you unique.

When planning outfits and locations, the most important thing is staying true to your personality and style. Whether you love dressing up, keeping it casual, rocking cowboy boots, or showing off your favorite sport, your photos should feel authentic to who you are right now. These are the photos you’ll look back on years from now, so let’s make them feel like you.

Here are a few outfit ideas to help you get started :

#1 Dressy

This is your chance to bring out a more polished look while still staying true to your style. Think flowy dresses, a sharp blazer, cute heels, boots, or your favorite outfit that makes you feel confident. Dressy doesn’t have to mean uncomfortable — the goal is to look and feel amazing while staying authentic to YOU!

# 2 Casual

You can never go wrong with a relaxed, comfortable outfit. Jeans, sneakers, cozy sweaters, sundresses, or anything you’d normally wear and love are perfect here. These photos tend to feel natural, effortless, and very “you.”

#3 Personality

This is where the fun happens. Want to include your cowboy boots? Bright-colored heels? Your car, tractor, guitar, confetti, or favorite hobby? Do it. The personality outfit is all about showing off what makes you you. These are often the photos people remember most because they tell your story.

# 4 Sports & Activities

Whether you’re an athlete, dancer, cheerleader, musician, or part of a club you love, this is the perfect way to highlight such a big part of your high school experience. Jerseys, uniforms, equipment, instruments — bring it all! You’ve worked hard and your senior photos are a great way to celebrate those memories.

At the end of the day, the best outfits are the ones that make you feel confident, comfortable, and excited to step in front of the camera. Don’t overthink it too much — we’ll help guide you every step of the way so your session feels fun, relaxed, and completely unforgettable!

Mr and Mrs Smith

This entire family has been near and dear to my heart for many years, so photographing such a beautiful day for Hollie and Joe was truly a joy. Seeing how much they love and appreciate each other and how happy their children were among the candlelit backdrop of their reception was pure magic.

Their day started and ended at Southern Illinois Axe and Ale (if you are ever down in Harrisburg, IL, this is a must see!). From the axe throwing to the yard games covered in twinkle lights, the DJ to the two stocked bars, this place was the perfect laid back setting that Hollie and Joe were after! I heard Hollie say multiple times how she just wanted her guests to relax and have a good time and they certainly did!

And, when your family owns Covered in Chocolate, you know the guests were well-fed from start to finish! Check out the dinner, warmed by live fire!

The ceremony was simple and beautiful, with their hand written vows clearly stealing the show. The promises to love and cherish among dishes and dirty laundry, hope for the future, thankful for each other and excitement for their future … these two are clearly meant to be.

Cheers to Hollie and Joe and to forever!

Mr & Mrs Klein

Finally - Mr and Mrs Klein tied the knot! They had been waiting, rescheduling, waiting and rescheduling. And finally, they said vows, exchanged rings and kissed to seal the deal. And while it took a lot to get there, everything that day seemed to fall into place. Great weather despite being usually humid August and a toddler who couldn’t help but run to drag his dad down the aisle. A beautiful day for a beautiful family - Congrats to The Kleins! Here’s to a lifetime of health and happiness!
