Some sessions just hit you a little differently.

Twelve years after meeting these cousins in our old studio back in 2014, they were back in front of my camera again. Grandma showed me a picture I took way back then saved to her phone of this same crew. I'm so thankful they took advantage of our Christmas special gift card promotion to make updated family photos happen.

To the families who continue coming back year after year, thank you. Your trust, your loyalty, and allowing me to document your story through so many seasons truly means more than you'll ever know. It never gets old and I’m so thankful for all of it.

BFF Makeover + Mini Session? Say Less! - Kids Photographer, Breese, Illinois

Last year we donated a Makeover Party + BFF Mini Session to the All Saints Academy Auction and last week the winners cashed in!

We had way too much fun with these two, getting glammed up in the cutest outfits, cheering our sprinkle covered ice cream, trying on princess crowns and of course dancing while tossing glitter. Truly, what more could a little girl want?

Thank you to the purchasers for supporting All Saints Academy AND thank you to dad who made a last minute Dairy King run for the biggest ice cream cones.

Happy First Birthday, Nora! Kids Session, Breese Illinois

We started the session with Mom and Dad for a few updated family photos before letting Nora take over the studio. She crawled around exploring, kept us all laughing with her sweet little personality, and when it was time for cake...she didn't hold back! She dug right in like an absolute champ.
Watching her session reminded me how sweet a first birthday can be!

Such a fun, sweet way to celebrate an unforgettable first year. Happy Birthday, Nora! 💕

A Whole Year with the Hilmes Family - Breese, Illinois Family Photographer

How is it possible that we've already wrapped up another Complete First Year journey?!

It's been so much fun watching this sweet little one grow over the past year, and for their final session they brought the whole family along. Between the big family, hilarious kids, and nonstop laughs, this session was full of the kind of moments I love most. So much joy exists in the chaos of all family sessions, including this one.

Thank you for letting me be part of such a special first year. It's always bittersweet to finish these milestone sessions, but I’m hopeful I'll be seeing this crew again soon!

Schulte Extended Family Session - Breese, Illinois Photographer

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to reconnect with people I haven't seen in years. Photographing the Schulte family was one of those sessions! It was so fun catching up with old high school friends and seeing just how much their kids have grown.

This crew brought plenty of laughs. Those genuine moments when everyone is together are always my favorite to capture, and the Schulte's made my job easy.

Brockmeier Family Session - Breese, Illinois Family Photographer

The Brockmeier family was the winner of our family session and wall portrait donation at the Mater Dei Catholic High School Dinner Auction, and I'm so glad our paths crossed!

When they reached out to schedule, they mentioned they had some private property they thought would make a great location. Turns out they were absolutely right. Between the beautiful tree-lined lane road, the lake, and all the gorgeous trees around the property, we had no shortage of spots to choose from.

As we were finishing up, their son had a last-minute idea to grab a few updated photos in front of their equipment for the family business website. I always love when we can make a session serve more than one purpose!

It was definitely a warm evening, but it was well worth it. Thanks, Brockmeier family, for having me out—I loved exploring your property and capturing this season for your family.
