Madeline - Mater Dei High School [Clinton County IL Photographer]

Mother Nature did apparently didn't want Madeline to have her senior portraits done! The first appointment was rained out and during the second appointment, on the way to St. Louis, we hit rain again! So, after waiting in the parking lot for twenty minutes, we finally decided to just grab an umbrella and go for it! And, I'm so glad that we did! I absolutely LOVED the tu-tu and umbrella in the rain combo! It was so much fun and so sweet :)) And, let's not forget to mention that she brought her grandmother's bike as part of her session - Her grandmother, who everyone knows as Mrs. Lager, is famous in Aviston for not only being one of the sweetest and most thoughtful of people you'll ever meet, but everyone knows she likes to ride her bike around town and up to church. I hope she loves the bike images as much as we do! Madeline, you are such a bright, beautiful, sweet girl and I'm so happy we had the pleasure of working with you!

Ariel - Mater Dei High School [Clinton County Senior Photographer]

I am SO thankful that Ariel contacted us to do her senior portraits! I've had this abandoned house in mind for years and when Ariel said she wanted something shabby chic, I knew that'd be the perfect place! Every thing went as planned and we had an awesome time - I was a little nervous when we had our Creative Director, Amy, climb a tree to hang up one of our props, but all ended well :)

Ariel, you are so beautiful inside and out and I had a fantastic time with you and your sweet family! See you guys this week! xoxo, H. 2013-08-19_0001

The Rumors are TRUE! We've moved into a new studio in Breese! [Clinton County Photographer]

If you’ve been a little confused lately about our location, we apologize. Since moving back to the area, we’ve bounced around a little, trying to find the absolute perfect place. The good news is that we’ve finally found it and we hope to stay here for a long time! We are now located at 641 N 4th St in Breese, next to Dairy King (The building use to be Eileen’s, for those of us that remember that). Here’s the interesting part…. Years ago, this building was owned by my Great Grandmother and it was called Cap’N'Cork Liquor. It was sold long before I was even a thought, but I know my mom and her family have fond memories growing up and helping there. I’ve had my eye on this building since high school. I always thought it would be the perfect place for my business, even though in high school I didn’t know what that business would be yet. After high school, I moved on to SIUE and then my husband’s job in the military moved us to San Diego and then to Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri. And finally, we’ve landed here as a photography business. I’ve learned that life has a funny way of bringing us back to where we started, and I couldn’t be more greatful. Our first few months in business back in the Clinton and Madison County areas has been incredible and we have all our amazing, wonderful clients to thank for that! The studio has a long way to be where I want it, but we all start somewhere and I couldn’t be more proud of how far we’ve come! I have a long list of people to thank for helping me bring this building back to life and you all know who you are – I never in a million years could have done any of it without you. xoxo So, Check out the new space (Including a Mini Clothing/Accessori Boutique for our Clients!), and if you see us up here, feel free to stop in and say hello! We’ll be hosting a Grand Opening (where I hope you’ll all join us!) in just a few weeks! :) xoxo, h.

We go the Keys! :)

Hannah - Mater Dei High School [Clinton County Senior Photographer]

Hair Envy - I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have hair envy for Hannah! Not to mention, I loved all her outfit choices! We had a blast photographing her in the studio against our new vintage record wall. Then, we ventured out and found the perfect yellow wall to match her outfit! I am completely in love with all Hannah's images, I had the hardest time choosing her best ones because she has such a gorgeous smile! I absolutely can't wait to show them all to you guys! Looking forward to seeing you later this week! Thanks! h.

Jada - Central High School [Clinton County Senior Photographer]

We were LOVING Jada's senior session! This girl is so full of beautiful and so full of personality! And, not a bad dancer either! She opt'ed for our Mini Destination session and we geared up and headed to STL, but only after taking a few shots in the studio and with her sweet puppy :) Jada, we had such a blast with you and I can't wait to show you all your images soon! xoxo, h. 2013-08-13_0001.jpg

Liz - Mater Dei High School [Clinton County Senior Photographer]

From start to finish, Liz was a total supermodel (even her aunt confirmed that I'm not the only one who thinks that!). That's all there is to it. She is beautiful, bright and I absolutely adored her outfit choices! Liz chose to bring her prom dress along as one of her outfits and I LOVED it! The colorful sequin looked so gorgeous outside in the sun, I could have photographed that dress all day long! Then, of course, after we leave the wooded area, we drove into town for her next outfit. As I get out of the car, Liz's mom asks me if I got the text message - I replied that I didn't know what she was talking about. She told me that she had just gotten a text from the city that there had been a confirmed case of West Nile Virus found in Aviston. I instantly started itching everywhere, convinced I had mosquito bites from crawling around in the timber for the last forty-five minutes. Luckily, no signs of West Nile yet for any of us! And I think we got some pretty incredible images, too!

I'm looking forward to showing you guys everything later this week! See you soon!

xoxo, h
